Hi I am Larry. I am a Founding Partner in the John Maxwell Speaking and Teaching Team. I have 15 years of experience working in the automotive industry.
My vision is to help organizations and individuals overcome their limiting beliefs, reach their potential, and in turn help them achieve their goals. I achieve this through webinars, teleseminars and live seminars in the evenings and weekends.
What is Passion, Vision, Focus?
Mad Dog Leadership (MDL) started in 2005 when I was asked to give career day talks at local area High Schools. I realized only 2 or 3 students out of 30 in a class were really interested in what automotive engineers actually do.
Because not every student was going to be an engineer I created a presentation called “Attitudes of a Mad Dog”. The basic idea was that we are all have different interests. strengths and weaknesses. To be satisfied in life we need find what our passion is and “go after it” like a “Mad Dog” with intensity.
When you are in your “passion zone” you love what you do, and a lot of times it does not seem like work. If you find yourself looking at the clock and not enjoying your work, then you need to find out what your passion in life is.
Here are my definitions of passion, vision, and focus.
Passion: We all have several things we like to do that top the list but what really gets your blood pumping. This is something you will do all night even if you have to get up at 5 am the next day.
Vision: Once you have that passion identified. No you need to sketch out a plan, how do you see yourself making money with your passion. How can you live out your passion and get paid for it? This is not as hard as it seems.
Focus: This is the details. What are you next steps? Do you need special training? Does your passion require a four year degree? Vocational school? Do you need to raise capital for your dream to come true? Make a plan, review it and stick to it, this is the only way your passion will come to life.
